JOB DESCRIPTION
: 
Médecins Sans Frontières is looking for an Accountant to oversee and prepare the Armenian Accounting books in accordance with the Finance and HR Coordinator's instructions, and the Armenian Accounting protocols, standards and procedures in order to provide accurate, reliable and updated financial information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
- Control and ensure that all receipts and documentation meet the Armenian Accounting requirements (procedures, deadlines, information, signatures, etc.). Track bills/ vouchers, invoices and other running costs in order to give reliable and updated information;
- Ensure a monthly account’s report in accordance with Armenian Accounting procedures, check individual entries and prepare the necessary administrative documents (originals) as a basis for justification and explanation of payments and receipts made;
- Prepare the timely payment of taxes;
- Responsible for the processing of accounting software ArmSoft including checking the conformity of accounting supporting documents (orders, acceptance acts, donation certificates, invoices, business trips allowances, etc.);
- Responsible for filing accounting documents and their annexes, preparing documents for audits, organizing the scanning of documents and archiving the mission’s financial documents in accordance with the local accounting requirements;
- Responsible for making sure taxes on services and unjustified expenses are deducted when applicable, and that the tax reports are sent to the authorities in accordance with the local deadlines;
- Register the employment contracts, and de-register them when employment contracts have ended;
- Follow changes made by the Ministry of Finance with regards to taxes, social benefits, legal obligations, etc. and inform the supervisor of the eventual impact these may have;
- Inform supervisors of any issues/ problems that may arise in their job performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- Essential diploma or professional qualification in Armenian Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
- At least 2 years of experience in local administration and accountability;
- Knowledge of Armenian (mother tongue) language; good level of English language;
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel), and of ArmSoft;
- Competencies: results and quality orientation, team work and cooperation, behavioural flexibility, commitment to MSF principles, stress management;
- Required candidate level: Mid-level (position is level 6 out of 15 levels).

REMUNERATION/ SALARY
: 
505,036 AMD /month if at 100% occupation rate (Gross - prior to deduction of income tax, social security and army tax)
