The Country Coordinator (CoCo) acts as the local representative of the Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) and overall coordinator of bilateral cooperation projects in Armenia. In addition, s/he supports the AutRC Team Leader for Europe, as well as the Desk Officer for Armenia in programming, implementing, and developing of new projects in the country.RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Represent Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) in Armenia, networking and liaising with movement partners (in particular within the Agenda for Renewal process and the RC EU coordination mechanisms in Armenia) as well as national stakeholders regarding ARCS priority sectors, which includes the participation in relevant fora, cluster meetings and conferences;- Plan and manage AutRC programmes and projects at the country and regional level in close cooperation with AutRC HQ, ARCS and other partners (including reporting, M&E tasks, as well as the facilitation of monitoring visits); this also encompasses taking over the management of forthcoming AutRC projects in Armenia and the support to AutRC project manager in country;
- Strategic planning of AutRC long-term engagement in Armenia as well as overall programme coordination, in close cooperation with AutRC Team Leader for Europe and local stakeholders including the development of concrete project proposals with the support of AutRC HQ;
- Responsible for identification and realization of funding opportunities in Armenia for current and planned AutRC engagement through pro-active networking and communication with donors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- University degree, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Public Health, International Development or similar;- At least 5 years of experience in international project management, including preferably in Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and/ or EU-funded projects is required; experience working within EU institutions or ADA offices will be considered as an asset;
- 2 years of experience within RC/RC environment, nationally or internationally is preferred.

The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is a humanitarian, independent, impartial and neutral non-profit organization, supporting people in need: locally – nationally – globally. Since 2012, the AutRC has a long-term commitment to support the Armenia Red Cross Society (ARCS) to sustainably increase their capacities and services to vulnerable people, through bilateral projects as well as regional programmes. After opening its regional representation in Yerevan in 2012 the AutRC started its cooperation with ARCS with a community-based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programme funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC). Ever since, the Austrian Development Agency, as well as the European Union continued to be a key donor for bilateral projects in the field of disaster risk management, health, and social services for older people as well as National Society Development.
