JOB DESCRIPTION

The Private Partnerships Director will be responsible for raising and securing Teach For Armenia's funding goal(s) from Private Partners as well as contribute to the development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy and implement it towards building a strong network of champions and supporters in Armenia and across the globe to further develop the Organization's long-term sustainability in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner. The Private Partnership Director reports directly to the Managing Director. The Private Partnerships Director will manage the Manager for Private Partnerships. This role will be a part of the External Affairs Team, consisting of Public Partnerships, Private Partnerships, Regional Partnerships, as well as Marketing and Branding Strategy Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
For this role, the key responsibilities will include the following:
Cultivate New Private Partnerships with Maintaining Existing Relationships (30%)
- Research, explore, and pursue relationships with new potential donors;
- Oversee communication with a portfolio of donors;
- Explore funding opportunities through Corporate Social Responsibility;
- Pilot an online mass giving campaign;
- Refine the Organization's donor relations strategy, including its pitches and donor-related content.
Maintain the Organization's Donor Database and Refine the Tracking Methods (30%)
- Ensure that the full cycle of donor cultivation is tracked in order to ensure seamless management of relationships over time;
- Leverage platforms such as Salesforce and Asana to steward relationships, analyze gaps, and track progress towards goals;
- Coordinate fundraising actions across the private partnerships by streamlining processes.
Orchestrate Fundraising Events (20%)
- Organize opportunities for local funders and supporters to engage with Teach For Armenia and its mission;
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising opportunities across the Diaspora, including an Annual Gala in Los Angeles;
- Pursue relationships that will host fundraising events on behalf of the Organization.
Leading Team (10 %)
- Invest in the development of Private Partnerships while ensuring that the department achieves its goals.
Participating in Org-Wide and Cross-Collaborative Initiatives (10%)
- Alongside with other directors and staff participate at regular org-wide events and initiatives to build up on the organizational culture and be a part of the key strategic meetings and events;
- Serve on other working groups and projects as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

For this role specifically, Teach for Armenia is looking for a candidate who possesses the following key competencies:
- Leading Team: As a leadership development organization, Teach for Armenia believes it is important to support its staff as they grow. The Private Partnerships Director will be responsible for supporting, coaching, and developing his/ her team;
- Fundraising: Teach For Armenia is moving out of the startup phase and preparing for scale. It will be critical for this leader to be an exceptional fundraiser in order to ensure the Organization's long-term sustainability and ambitious growth plans;
- Stakeholder Management: Teach For Armenia has garnered tremendous support, both in Armenia and abroad. From the Prime Minister of Armenia to celebrities in Los Angeles, the Private Partnerships Director must be a master of navigating relationships with private partners;
- Collaboration: The nature of this role will require close partnership with teammates on other Teach For Armenia departments, and external contractors;
- Event Coordination: Throughout the year, the Organization hosts a few big fundraising events and campaigns both in-country and abroad. The Private Partnership Director's role will ensure its events are holding up a high standard both for the content and logistics.
Aside from these core competencies, Teach For Armenia is also looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience leading teams is preferred;
- Fluency in Armenian and English languages; proficiency in Russian language is a plus;
- Demonstrated track record of success with fundraising with quantifiable results;
- Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess fundraising experience both locally in Armenia as well as across the Diaspora;
- At least a bachelor's degree; however, many staff members at Teach For Armenia possess a master's degree or higher;
- A meaningful personal connection to the Armenian context.
