Working days and hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00-19:00JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO has a vacant position of Advocacy Specialist.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out advocacy work, organize and participate in meetings and discussions with representatives of state and non-state bodies, and law enforcement agencies;- Map key advocacy stakeholders, including government agencies, international organizations, foreign missions, media, and civil society organizations;
- Develop a general strategy of advocacy, as well as sectoral strategic plans together with the staff of the Organization;
- Based on the research carried out by the Organization, develop official statements and
documents expressing the position of the Organization on the key issues of advocacy;
- Develop relationships with partners and establish connections with potential partners and
other stakeholders;
- Develop policy-related documents related to various external and internal spheres of the NGO;
- Develop training modules and conduct training;
- Compilation and presentation of legal analyses, and reports as needed;
- Provide advice to the head and employees of the Organization, to the beneficiaries of the Organization who need legal assistance;
- Cooperation with the team, and support in the development and implementation of programs aimed at the provision of services of the organization;
- As needed, participation and representation of the organization’s activities on local and international platforms;
- As needed, support for the organization and implementation of the organization's events;
- Follow and implement the Employer assignments for the proper and quality
implementation of services following internal procedures;
- Follow the correct and timely implementation of duties;
- As needed, participate in other meetings of the staff and the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Higher education in law, professional work experience of at least 4 years;- Program development, problem-solving, report processing, information gathering, analytical skills;
- Knowledge of MC Office;
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English languages, knowledge of Russian will be considered as an advantage;
- High level of interpersonal relations, gender sensitivity, experience of working with LGBTIQ people, telephone management, and office etiquette skills;
- Necessary knowledge of legal acts related to one’s powers, as well as the ability to orient oneself in different situations;
- Work planning skills;
- Ability to complete assigned tasks/goals properly and within set deadlines.
