Full-TimeJOB DESCRIPTION:
IT Logic Tech is looking for an Assistant to Import Manager, who will organize import operations and ensure that they are carried out effectively and efficiently.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate and work with existing partners, interact with them and help assess new prospects;- Monitor inbound shipments to ensure compliance with import regulations;
- Provide shipping information and required documentation to appropriate parties, including the Accountant, Bookkeeper and Warehouse Operator;
- Work closely with the Sales team and the shippers/ growers to schedule, coordinate and align inbound shipments with product demand, customer requirements and sales needs;
- Coordinate the scheduling of freight from the point of delivery (port, border and packing house) to the final destination;
- Continually identify and determine optimum sources of supply;
- Check product inventory and quality in the warehouse;
- Observe and follow proper safety procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions;
- Communicate effectively to all department supervisors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics, Business or Linguistics;- At least 1 year of work experience;
- Strong negotiating skills;
- Multitasking skills;
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and accomplish team objectives;
- Knowledge of Russian and English languages; knowledge of any other languages is an advantage;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Computer competency, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
