JOB DESCRIPTION: 

EGS is looking for a Business Analyst who will work on international projects in payment and card processing industry. The ideal incumbent should be open-minded, tech-minded, result-oriented personality with strong communication, team playing and collaboration skills, with high sense of responsibility who strives for growth and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gather information; evaluate output requirements and formats;
- Research possible software solutions to increase work efficiency;
- Support project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development;
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; form project teams; establish project budget;
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions;
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential;
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends;
- Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making;
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports;
- Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement;
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Higher education; degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject is desired;
- At least 4 years of work experience as a Business Analyst;
- Knowledge of OOP, design principles and patterns;
- Work experience with programming languages is a plus;
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and with data visualization techniques and tools;
- Experience in financial, banking or payment industry, understanding of card payments, and card processing standards is a big plus;
- Detail-oriented person, analytical and inquisitive mind;
- Extremely organized with strong time management skills;
- Strong communication and team playing skills;
- Good knowledge of English language; knowledge of French language is a plus.
