JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Mogo UCO seeks an experienced and thorough Chief Accountant to join its rapidly growing team. As the Chief Accountant, you will demonstrate your exceptional management skills and accounting expertise in various accounting practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Assure Financial transactions are recorded following IFRS, Group accounting and Statutory accounting policies and local regulations (Tax, Central Bank);
- Assure well-timed and accurate month closing (4th WD) reliable data processing and reporting processes. covering necessary ERPs and accounting ledger reconciliations and proper GAAP application;
- Drive the Company’s accounting system development process to ensure the smooth and reliable data processing flows;
- Execute Project management role for the activities initiated or executed by or significantly involving the Accounting department;
- Company’s tax, regulatory and statutory reports submitted abiding with the set of laws implemented by the state;
- Initiate and develop internal accounting policies and processes, with the aim to build a strong internal control environment, high adherence to the regulatory requirements and resource allocation efficiency;
- Ensure timely and efficient Annual audit, Tax and Regulatory reviews, as well as annual inventory;
- Manage the Accounting Department, achieving the above-mentioned operational results as well as creating a motivating place to work, learn and develop individually;
- Maintain the effective internal (Customer service, Debt collection, IT departments, etc.) and external communication (external partners, auditors, HQ employees, etc), represent the Company in front of the required bodies. The Company is looking for a Finance business partner who is an active part of the Company’s development, not only a supporting party;
- Maintain Company’s treasury activities and oversee the strategic business plan implementation, actively participate when developing it by providing necessary insights, inputs and observations towards it to the key stakeholders of the Company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Higher education in Accounting, Finance or Economics, ACCA would be considered as an advantage;
- Practical experience in audit, financial reporting or accounting related activities shall be at least 5 years, incl. the period when dealing with senior team management responsibilities;
- License of Chief Accountant for non-bank financial institutions (current or to be obtained on short notice);
- Knowledge of Legal acts of the Republic of Armenia regulating accounting, reporting and taxes, as well as general laws;
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken);
- Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Excel skills, as well as working experience and knowledge of ArmSoft;
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize the work;
- Stay responsible, and result-oriented, having a desire to grow and improve in a professional field, maintain high business ethic standards.
