JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Intertech is currently seeking a professional Commercial Specialist who is expected to pro-actively draw on his/ her own experience, demonstrating the ability to think laterally and innovatively to support the achievement of the commercial objectives of the Company. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a constant awareness of trends and market conditions, in order to provide informed advice to upper management.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Research and identify potential partners from various domains based on the Company's current needs and projects, and report the findings to the management for decision making;
- Make initial contacts with selected potential partners and coordinate with them regarding their commercial terms of cooperation;
- Based on pre-defined criteria and coordination with internal stakeholders analyse the list of potential partners and provide data and insight to the management to support the decision making and selection process;
- Liaise with colleagues from legal and finance departments and follow up the contracts under review by these departments;
- Research for trade events (exhibitions, seminars, conferences, etc.) within the assigned sectors and make proposals to the management for the Company's participation;
- Search and gather information on potentially attractive new markets for the services provided by the Company, create brief reports based on his/ her findings and submits to the management for decision making;
- Constantly look for new business opportunities, whether through partnerships or new initiatives, and work to take advantage of those opportunities;
- Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing and potential partners and contract managers;
- Resolve issues with contracts and commercial operations;
- Communicate with parties in a contract so that all understand the terms, particularly financial aspects of the contract:
a) Ensure that all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations;
b) Ensure that the financial aspects and implications of the contract are clear to all parties;
- Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and is ready to handle unexpected situations;
- Work efficiently and calmly under tight deadlines or other stress factors;
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Commercial Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- At least a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or in a related field; master's degree is a plus;
- Proven success in sales and/ or negotiations, as well as evidence of ability to manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders;
- Experience in project management (including financial aspects of the project), negotiating with different stakeholders and agreeing on contractual terms;
- Track record of success in overseeing projects from inception to completion, and identifying and mitigating risks involved;
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and work effectively under pressure;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
- Creative, strategic thinker with excellent organizational abilities;
- Flexibility and a talent for negotiation;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language;
- Ability to effectively communicate contractual legal obligations in "plain English language" to a diverse range of internal/ external partners;
- Team-oriented and results-focused person;
- Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis.
