JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of Data Scientist is one of PicsArt's most important positions while owning principles of data driven business decisions. While working with one of the business directions, the Data Scientist is responsible for the full data processes, starting from defining user based data to making user's experience better with the data. The Company seeks and values most professionalism in both soft and hard skills; motivation to grow, learn and share, positive attitude, flexibility, transparency, ownership and the most important - enthusiasm and commitment.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be part of the team that drives the product change, together with the Product Manager, Technical Lead and UX Designer;- Work with huge datasets getting, cleaning and analyzing them to answer business questions and provide insights;
- Make behavioral research to understand users' needs and recommend changes;
- Visualize and make effective presentations to communicate complex findings in structured way for a non-technical audience;
- Dig deeper into data and find reasons of user churn, trends and metrics changes;
- When needed, quickly integrate new tools to solve problems more effectively;
- Define the underlying architecture of data collection;
- Work with QA and development team to make sure that everything develops in accordance with the Company's standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent;- Strong analytical skills with ability to manage data collection process, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail;
- Solid experience with databases, complex SQL querying;
- Working experience with data manipulation languages such as R and Python (Pandas, visualization and statistical libraries);
- Knowledge of statistics (hypothesis testing, regression models, performing full exploratory analysis);
- Knowledge of basic programming, algorithms and set theory is highly desirable;
- Knowledge of BI software (Tableau, Microsoft BI);
- Active, self-motivated, innovative person and a quick learner;
- Punctual person with time management skills;
- Good communication and knowledge sharing skills;
- Excellent team player.
