JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan is looking for an experienced and talented candidate for the position of Director of Food and Beverage who will oversee the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensure implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives, ensure the food and beverage/ culinary operation meets the brand's target customer needs, ensure employee satisfaction, and focus on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the Department.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that each food and beverage outlet and banquet is managed successfully as an independent profit center;- Set expectations and hold food and beverage leadership team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors;
- Develop and manage all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage Department;
- Develop and implement promotions, food and wine pairings, menu items and presentations;
- Monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them;
- Monitor service and food and beverage standards in all outlets and banquets;
- Monitor and analyze the activities and trends of competitive restaurants, bars and other banqueting departments of the Hotel;
- Make recommendations for CAPEX funding of food and beverage equipment and renovations in accordance with brand business strategy;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma; degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related major is preferred;- At least 6 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary or related professional area, preferably in a luxury setting;
- Great attention to details and creativity;
- Communication and leadership skills;
- Guest-oriented and service-minded person;
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
