JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Under the supervision of the Senior Logistics Officer, the Driver is responsible for providing safe transport services for the Acted staff.
The Driver ensures that the vehicles are properly maintained and operated according to the Acted policy. As part of the Logistics Department, the Driver also supports procurement activities and contributes to the effective management of logistics operations.
Providing reliable and safe driving services, he will uphold the highest standards of discretion and integrity; have a deep sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. He should demonstrate courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Logbook
- Accurately fill out the vehicle logbook after each use;
- Regularly check that entries match mileage records;
- Assist staff with lifting and moving supplies/equipment;
- Vehicle Maintenance & Safety;
- Check tire conditions before every field trip;
- Weekly checks: oil, water, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher;
- Report mechanical issues immediately to the Logistics Assistant;
- Take the vehicle to the mechanic when needed;
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Safety & Security
- Passenger safety is the top priority; ensure all wear seat belts;
- Follow all national traffic laws and Acted’s transport rules;
- Respect speed limits and reduce speed in sensitive areas;
- Maintain safe following distance and obey all traffic signals;
- Inform passengers of journey duration; delays from late departures are not the driver’s -responsibility;
- Clean the vehicle after each trip.

Professional Conduct
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance;
- Communicate politely and professionally as a representative of Acted;
- Keep Acted-related information confidential.

Working Hours
- 20 hours per week with flexibility for overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Minimum of a Secondary School Diploma; a University degree will be considered an asset;
- 2 years of driving experience, a minimum of 1 year, is preferably professional driving experience;
- Valid standard Armenian driver’s license;
- Knowledge about primary and secondary Armenian roadways;
- Ability to read and navigate using digital maps and GPS tools, Basic working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanics;
- Ability to travel;
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment;
- Ability to operate some office equipment: computer, copier, printer, camera, cell phone, GPS, etc;
- Strong alignment with Acted’s values and code of conduct;
- Ensuring compliance, transparency and accountability;
- Dedication and commitment;
- Thinking outside the box;
- Fluent in Armenian, basic knowledge of English․
