JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Armenian Red Cross Society is looking for a Head of Tracing Service.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Manage and coordinate the activities of the ARCS's Tracing Service within the Headquarters and branches of the National Society;
- Develop and update institutional, strategic documents and plans of actions;
- Develop, plan, coordinate and monitor the project(s) implementation; implement the project(s);
- Ensure the effective and timely implementation of the activities in accordance with the defined strategies, established work plans and allocation of tasks within the team member(s);
- Ensure that tracing working tools and procedures of the ARCS are up-to-date and in-line with international standards;
- Maintain the tracing database and manage the corresponding individual files;
- On regular basis carry out assessment of needs for tracing activities in the country and develop response strategy/ plan to respond to the identified needs;
- Review, develop and update Department's documents and agreements;
- With the support and guidance of the ARCS's Secretary General, liaise and cooperate with the ICRC, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, relevant governmental structures and other national and international actors;
- Ensure proper financial control and accountability for the resources allocated to the implementation of activities of the Tracing Service, including narrative and financial reporting;
- Produce and ensure timely submission of narrative and financial reports to the ARCS, Movement partner organisations (e.g. ICRC) and other donors;
- Develop and establish a training module for specific training of the staff and volunteers related to the response to emergency situations;
- Train and provide guidance to the staff and volunteers under his/ her supervision;
- Develop educational and dissemination materials (posters, booklets, leaflets and manuals);
- Perform other job-related tasks that may be assigned by the President or the Secretary-General of ARCS.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- University degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Law or a related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in management positions, of which at least 2 years with an international organization;
- Experience in project management;
- Fluency in Armenian and English languages, both written and spoken; knowledge of Russian language is an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong management skills;
- Ability to take initiative and to work independently;
- Sense of empathy, tact and discretion during contacts with beneficiaries;
- Computer literacy;
- Very good analytical skills;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Availability for field trips.
