JOB DESCRIPTION:
PicsArt is looking for a Junior JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Selected candidate will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all user-side logic.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new user-facing features;- Build reusable code;
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/ UX designs;
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability;
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree;- Ability to develop functional and scalable web-based applications based on design and UI/ UX requirements;
- Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3;
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks and workarounds;
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX;
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues;
- Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Gulp.js;
- Good understanding of GitHub, Atlassian developer tools;
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance;
- Experience working with RESTful web services;
- Basic knowledge of Node.js and Express.js;
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis is an advantage.
