JOB DESCRIPTION: 

GOPA PACE is looking for a Junior Non-Key Expert in Communication and Events.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader and the KE3, the JNKE will be responsible for the following:
- Provide support to KE 3 in the development and implementation of the plan of activities for C2, in particular, support to the general communication of the EU Delegation; Keeps track of deadlines for activities and helps KE 3 in tracking and reporting on the indicators relevant for C2 activities;
- Organize and participate in meetings with stakeholders, beneficiaries, partners, and suppliers; prepare documentation for meetings; Provide translation (English/ Armenian and Armenian/ English) during meetings; Prepare meeting minutes and/or summaries;
- Provide translation (English/ Armenian and Armenian/ English) for background documents, analyses, and reports, as requested by KE 3;
- Provide support to KE 3 in designing and organising events – conferences, trainings, workshops, etc. – in particular events related to the general communication of EUD; Identifies suitable locations and service suppliers for events; provides logistic support during events; Help KE3 in preparing events reports.
- Provide support to KE 3 and the Publicis team in organizing Europe Day activities, and participate, per the request of KE 3, in other activities related to the EUD general communication;
- Provide support to KE 3 in preparing ToR for Incidental Expenditures related to C2 events and other ToR required for the C2 activities; Help KE 3 in keeping track of the C2 Incidental expenditures;
- Create and maintain a database of potential suppliers for services required by the activities of C2; Create and maintain databases of contacts relevant to the C2 activities;
- Provide support to KE 3 with data collection activities – researching, collecting, organizing, and analysing data relevant to C2 activities;
- Under the guidance of KE 3, provides support in the induction of the non-key experts recruited for Component 2; Provides support to the non-key experts for the timely and quality submission of timesheets and mission reports; Keeps track of workdays reported by C2 NK experts;
- Provide support to KE 3 in ensuring good quality and compliance with C2 deliverables;
- Perform activities about the role of the Communication officer for the project;
- Update the presence of the project on DigiTool – upload materials, create events etc;
- Participate in the design and production of promotional and visibility materials for the EU Delegation and for the project.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- A higher education degree, preferably at Master’s level, in Economics, Management, or related fields;
- Planning and reporting skills;
- Project management skills;
- Events planning and management skills;
- Communication skills;
- Proficiency in English, native Armenian;
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in roles which include management, procurement, reporting and organizing events;
- Experience working in the EU and/or other donors funded project/s in Armenia is an advantage;
- Familiarity with the activity and the general communication of the EU Delegation to Armenia; Familiarity with EU procurement rules and EU visibility guidelines.
