Full-timeJOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining all databases under Billing and Charging Systems Unit responsibility. The Senior Database Administrator is also responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage database servers;- Ensure implementation and planning of database optimization;
- Ensure documentation of database configuration and procedures;
- Ensure applications' support;
- Ensure monitoring and supervision of any unauthorized change;
- Ensure smooth integration/ adaptation of database with 3rd party databases;
- Analyze and identify system architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions;
- Ensure evaluation of the proposals from vendors/ suppliers, to make risk analysis before applying it on production;
- Optimize and fine tune database parameters for maximum performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology;- 4 years of work experience as a Database Administrator;
- Technical knowledge of telecom business related database requirements;
- Full mastery of Oracle databases;
- Knowledge of TSQL and PLSQL;
- Good knowledge of IP networking, Windows and UNIX operating systems;
- Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments within critical deadlines;
- Ability to effectively manage change;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior and confidentiality;
- Good knowledge of Russian and English languages.
