JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Marketing Officer is responsible for the development of individual fundraising programs, support to the implementation of public fundraising and digital fundraising campaigns, and coordination of the general fundraising activities of WWF Armenia.

Working Relationships:
Internal: Interacts extensively with other departments at WWF-Armenia and WWF CauPO offices as well as WWF International, National Organizations and Programme Offices through the network.

External: Interacts with public, business sector, NGO sector, local communities and donors, community representatives.

This job description covers the main tasks and conveys the spirit of the sort of tasks that are anticipated proactively from staff. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to organizational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Support the development of an individual fundraising strategy, action plan, and budget that enable WWF Armenia to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of digital and F2F fundraising activities, including messaging, approach, landing pages, and user experience;
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive proactive fundraising plan focused on expanding and enhancing donor relationships by directing and coordinating activities to secure significant financial support from communities and the general public sector;
- Responsible for assessment and recommendations on a payment gateway/processor functionality, database, donation platform CMS, email marketing tools; and research into platforms that encourage new ways of giving or to reach certain demographics;
- Engage, develop and maintain professional relationships with individual members of the local community, local companies and other community organizations in order to promote one off donations and regular giving;
- Identify and research potential donors for WWF Armenia and work alongside the Partnership and Corporate Fundraising Manager to develop relationships with potential donors;
- Responsible for assessment and recommendations on new ways to generate leads, according to the strategy;
- Build lasting relationships within communities where there is dedicated support for the charity and establish new relationships where the WWF Armenia does not have a strong presence;
- Development and maintenance of the online donor journey, work on new digital fundraising campaigns;
- Organize the annual calendar for online communications and fundraising initiatives with all the stakeholders who are relevant for WWF;
- Recommend on best practices, new and existing tools, and other supporting resources if needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, PR or Communications, Humanities or related fields;
- At least 2 years of professional experience in public fundraising, marketing, communications, project management, or related fields, with an emphasis on individual fundraising or similar;
- Demonstrated successful fundraising or high-value sales experience is considered to be an advantage;
- Experience in an International organization is considered to be an advantage;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Armenian languages.

Required Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of digital fundraising platforms;
