JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Action Against Hunger has been operating in the South Caucasus region since 1994 and its current programmes focus on the following areas: Food Security, Livelihoods, Agriculture, WASH, and Economic and Rural Development. Currently Action Against Hunger (AAH) South Caucasus has an opening for a full-time Project Facilitator position in Goris in Armenia. The Project Facilitator will support AAH with the implementation of its humanitarian assistance programming and provide support in all project-related tasks at the field level. They will also represent the agency in meetings with beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders, and will report on meetings and the progress of activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Support the Project Manager/Officer in identifying, assessing and selecting beneficiaries and their required inputs;
- Monitor/mobilize progress during assessments (baseline/end line);
- Implement awareness raising campaign in communities;
- Oversee and participate in all relevant trainings;
- Contribute to internal and external reporting;
- Monitor project activities as well as activities of other agencies involved in the relevant area or operation;
- Provide Project Manager/Officer with field reports and assist in preparing other reports as needed;
- Support Project Manager in presenting the project to communities;
- Support Project Manager in coordination with NGO focal points;
- Support Project Manager in coordination with local authorities;
- Conduct regular meetings with local stakeholders;
- Attend working groups and take minutes of information provided;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- University diploma in relevant field (may be substituted by equivalent training or relevant job experience);
- Experience with Project Cycle Management;
- Three years of experience working in NGO in a project implementation position;
- Experience in coordinating and collaborating with NGOs, public authorities, UN Agencies;
- Good human relations skills, diplomacy, organizational and facilitation skills;
- Fluent in Armenian and good knowledge of English, and Russian will be an advantage;
- Computer skills including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.);
- Flexible with respect to working hours and place of work;
- Familiarity with the local culture, ability to develop respect from a wide range of people and strong ability to communicate effectively;
- Good understanding of humanitarian context and needs of refugees, displaced and vulnerable persons;
- Demonstrate commitment towards gender equality issues;
- Motivated by humanitarian aims and flexible with respect to working hours and place of work.
