JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Datafoundry Labs is looking for a Research Scientist to join its team. The candidates should have MS or PhD, preference will be given to candidates that have PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Bio-Statistics, Computational Sciences (e.g. AI).

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Demonstrate enthusiasm to solve complex problems;
- Be curious to new ideas, listen to others, try new concepts fast and constantly try new ideas;
- Manage time, expectations and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Be methodical, process-driven and articulate reasoning to multiple audiences;
- Write white papers and other high-quality work that will be either published to the scientific community and/ or shared with the research community;
- Articulate solutions in a simple way to various stakeholders; share knowledge and mentor other members of the Company;
- Be brand ambassador of Datafoundry Labs within the research, scientific community and beyond (e.g. speaking events, hackathons, mentorship).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Master's or PhD degree; PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Bio-statistics or Computational Sciences is preferable;
- Knowledge of and experience with standard artefacts to design algorithms and models (e.g. probability and statistics, predictive modelling, mathematical modelling, neural networks);
- Experience of publications of white papers, and participation in writing white papers and/ or scientific articles to the research communities;
- Experience and ability to implement own algorithms by himself/ herself; once algorithm has been validated, it will be passed on the IT Development team for productization;
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, mathematical sciences and data science is desired; experience in bio-statistics, molecular physics, probabilistic and deterministic mathematics is welcome;
- Willingness to learn new technologies like Cloud (Amazon, Google), Python, Go and new techniques like Deep Learning, Bayesian neural network;
- Any academic achievement and/ or community engagement will be an advantage;
- Enthusiasm about finding patterns in entities, center the research on data and derive impactful intelligence out of own findings (including actions, recommendations);
- Communication skills in English language, both written and spoken.
