JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Central Bank of Armenia is currently looking for a talented and qualified Researcher to join the Economic Research Department team. Candidates who enjoy research and analysis, have the opportunity to apply for this position.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research on long-term structural issues of economy;- Conduct micro-level analysis on issues of the real sector of economy;
- Conduct research on different economic issues and study best international practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Economics or Physics and Mathematics;- At least 2 years of experience at CBA or 4 years of experience elsewhere in a related field;
- In-depth knowledge of macroeconomics;
- In-depth knowledge of microeconomics;
- In-depth knowledge of monetary policy;
- In-depth knowledge of mathematical models in economics;
- Knowledge of econometrics and application of probability methods in economics;
- Knowledge of economic statistics;
- Experience of using econometric software packages (MatLab, STATA, EViews, R, Python);
- Fluency in Armenian, English and Russian languages;
- Analytical skills;
- Creative thinking;
- Teamwork skills;
- Initiative;
- Flexible thinking;
- Consulting skills;
- Coordinating skills;
- Controlling skills;
- Goal-oriented person;
- Result-oriented person.
Additional Requirement:
- After filling the vacant position the candidate should present two research papers within one year and publish one research paper in "Peer Review" magazine every two years.
