Senior Data Integration Engineer / Data Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Equiti AM is looking for a Senior Data Integration Engineer/ Data Developer with at least 3 years of relevant commercial experience to join its team. The incumbent will play a significant role in the delivery of mission-critical data projects, being a part of a dynamic global development team. Reporting to the Head of Development he/ she will work alongside with other data architects, engineers and BI analysts, focusing on automation of the data exchange and integration of streaming processes within the Organization. This is an opportunity for a suitable and ambitious individual to grow and develop the career as the team grows.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and integrate solutions for various real-time streaming and ETL processes populating data from various sources into a central real-time data warehouse;- Work closely with data analysts to cater their needs on data accessibility;
- Develop and maintain ETL packages to import and process data into the Data Warehouse;
- Monitor and tune the database and queries performance;
- Develop analytical and operational reports;
- Ensure data integrity and high availability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of relevant commercial experience;- Expert level command of MS SQL;
- Good working knowledge of Python and C#; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus;
- Solid understanding of data architecture principles and methodologies;
- Experience with SSIS;
- Experience with SSAS or other data modelling technologies;
- Familiarity with SQL Server infrastructure and administration;
- Experience with Apache Kafka and real-time data streaming and ETL processes is a big advantage.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trading or financial background;
- Exposure to MySQL, Oracle, Postgres or other DBMS;
- Experience with NoSQL databases;
- Knowledge of SQL profiling and debugging;
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure Cloud;
- Knowledge of JIRA or other issue tracking software.
