JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Candidate will contribute to enabling Calibre in the design flows (especially P&R), working with multiple product teams, and defining priorities for the engineering team. Calibre Foreign Database Interface (FDI) enable LEF, DEF, and OpenAccess read/ write as well as Oasis to DEF back annotation and LEFDEF DRC Checking. The candidate will provide ownership for a range of product engineering tasks in FDI/DBDIFF product development and support across several tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Maintain external and internal customer requests;
- Provide performance optimization, detailed troubleshooting, and customer support of FDI/ DBDIFF product;
- Perform initial system-level testing of new product functions, including partnering with customers in their evaluations;
- Drive product roadmaps to solve emerging needs by defining product requirements and/ or capabilities of current product offerings;
- Develop and deploy documentation of new tool capabilities, customer training, and distribution of material.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field and 3-5 years of progressive experience in a related occupation;
- Academic or confirmed industry experience in the following: EDA tools and flows; LEF/DEF format knowledge, EDA tool deck development or deck modification; EDA tool syntaxes (e.g. SVRF, TVF, iPVS syntax, ICV syntax, TcL); Unix/Linux operating systems.

The Ideal Candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of LEF/DEF or/ and OpenAccess formats;
- Familiarity with IC design flows (custom design, P&R flow, Physical verification, etc.);
- Previous experience with product development;
- Script-programming skills with languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, Shell, etc;
- Familiarity with Unix/ Linux operating systems;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
- Ability to collaborate as part of a cross-functional team;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Willingness to travel.
