JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Within the SKYE Net Project IRIS Business incubator seeks a Social Entrepreneurship (SE) Expert for the development of the handbook and the delivery of ToT with an expertise in economic growth and social entrepreneurship. The SE expert will work in close collaboration with the Design thinking expert to develop the handbook based on international best practices on social entrepreneurship, with special adaptation to the local contexts, using country-based examples and case studies for better addressing the topic. The handbook will offer an interactive training methodology for young audiences. The English and Armenian versions of the handbook will be available on-line with translation in three languages.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Map existing resources on Social Entrepreneurship in Armenia, among them surveys, reports, analysis, teaching materials, regulatory framework, past projects and their deliverables/ impact etc;
- Analyze the available information in order to come up with an innovative and comprehensive methodology on developing a new SE handbook;
- Work in close collaboration with the Design thinking expert to develop the SE handbook, which is based on international best practices on social entrepreneurship, with special adaptation to the local contexts, using country-based examples and case studies for better addressing the topic. The handbook should offer an interactive training methodology for young audiences using design thinking methodology;
- Provide necessary toolkits and knowledge base for promotion of social entrepreneurship and young individuals’ creative thinking for business success and will serve as a resource for further use by educational, business service provider organizations and SKYE clubs;
- Design and deliver ToTs for representatives of educational institutions, business support organisations, and youth organisations based on the handbook;
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and the development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds;
- Report to IRIS BI PC; liaise with the WV Armenia management and if required with overall SKYE-Net Project management;
- Participate in the BI activities which require SE Expert's involvement and participate in various meetings and interaction with external stakeholders;
- Follow all the rules and regulations of IRIS BI and as required within the SKYE-Net Project.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship or other relevant field;
- Previous research experience focused on social entrepreneurship, innovation, circular economy and ethical management will be a plus;
- Proven experience in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives with a focus on social entrepreneurship in developing countries;
- Proven experience in working with businesses and/or providing coaching, mentorship and/or SE advisory services to organizations;
- Experience in developing and conducting ToTs;
- Experience in working with several organizations with the ability to prioritize and manage time and resources efficiently, high degree of attention to details;
- Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds;
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and responsibility with the ability to multitask and work under pressure;
- Experience working in a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good understanding of innovation processes, entrepreneurial mindset;
- Strength in coordinating, coaching and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility;
- Proficiency in MS Office;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Armenian and English.

REMUNERATION/ SALARY: 

The expert will be engaged on a short-term contract. Compensation is competitive, based on market rates and qualifications of the candidate.

ABOUT: 

Within the “SKYE Net- Skills and Knowledge for Youth Empowerment Network” project World Vision Deutschland, together with its implementing partners World Vision Armenia Child Protection Foundation (WVA CPF), IRIS Business Incubator Foundation (IRIS BI), World Vision Georgia Foundation (WVGF) and MilleniuM (MM) Training and Development Institute joined forces to foster active participation of youth in both democratic and economic life by enhancing entrepreneurial and career management skills among youth, with a focus on disadvantaged youth, as well as supporting youth-led social enterprises that address community-level problems and focus on digital and green transition in Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova.
In order to provide educational institutions, youth organisations, and business support organisations with the necessary tools to promote social entrepreneurship culture and youth skills development, a SE handbook with design thinking methodology will be elaborated and disseminated, followed by a Training of Trainers for teachers/trainers among educational institutions, including TVETs, youth and business support organisations.
