Full Time (40 hours per week)JOB DESCRIPTION:
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking an eligible and qualified candidate for the position of Project Management Specialist. The Specialist provides strategic, technical, representation, and programmatic leadership and oversight on a range of democracy, human rights, and governance (DRG) topics, including rule of law and governance. Rule of law sectors include court administration and case management, judicial regulatory and oversight bodies, legal education reform, bar association (advocates) development/ reform and similar subjects. Governance reform topics include municipal consolidation, municipal/ local government capacity building, intergovernmental relations, parliamentary strengthening, constitutional reform, and anti-corruption. For the purposes of this document, the Embassy is referring to these as rule of law and governance.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least a master’s degree or the local equivalent formal education, in a field relevant to the DRG sector such as, International Development, Law/ Legal, Linguistics, Communications/ Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, and/ or Public Administration or other closely related field;- At least 7 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in program design, and/ or planning and/ or management work. At least 5 years of this experience should be in a development related DRG field or work, for USAID, other donor agencies, civil society, GoAM organizations or private sector institutions which included project design, performance monitoring, and/ or the analysis and interpretation of complex data;
- Level IV (fluent) English (written and oral) and native fluency of the native language Armenian.
