ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝ 

The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant is to provide a variety of administrative and programmatic support functions to Staff and Volunteers. For Staff, the Administrative Assistant greets all visitors from the reception area, helps to organize events and provides administrative support to the programmatic unit. For volunteers, the Administrative Assistant inputs volunteer payment and reimbursement data into financial databases, processes in-country volunteer travel and maintains volunteer personal files. The Administrative Assistant takes initiative, works independently and flexible.

ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝ 

- Education: University degree, equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, in Administration or related field;
- Prior Work Experience: Four (4) years of professional administrative experience;
- Language Proficiency: Level 4 language proficiency in both English and Armenian, according to the Interagency Language Roundtable http://www.govtilr.org/.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Competence in using the Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook; Ability to operate general office equipment such as: copiers, printers, computers, cell phone, satellite phone; Strong sense of integrity; Ability to maintain confidential information; Attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure is essential; Ability to travel occasionally, both locally and internationally.
Ability to pass a background check conducted by the United States Embassy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Advanced degree, equivalent to Master’s Degree or more, in Administration or related field;
- Prior Work Experience: four (4) years of professional administrative experience; Experience working with Americans and/or international organizations;
- Language Proficiency: Level 5 language proficiency in both English and Armenian, according to the Interagency Language Roundtable http://www.govtilr.org/; Russian language skills also helpful;
- Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Working knowledge of United States Government procedures and policies.

US Peace Corps has been established by President John F. Kennedy on March 1, 1961 to promote world peace and friendship. The Peace Corps Armenia program was established in 1992. Since that time more than 1,100 Volunteers have served in Armenia. Currently volunteers work in two programs: Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Community and Youth Development.
