ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝

Teach For Armenia is building a movement of leaders who will reshape what it means to provide an excellent education for all children across the nation. It aims to cultivate students who can harness their voices and shape a changing world while being committed to their communities. This will require support at every level of leadership, from its teachers in the classroom to the highest-ranking officials. Teach For Armenia aims to accomplish this vision by recruiting promising leaders, both in Armenia and from across the diaspora, to teach for a 2-year commitment in schools where their knowledge and skills are needed. In the long-run, the organization is cultivating a network of changemakers, inclusive of its students, their communities, its Alumni, government officials, community partners, supporters, and affiliates from across Teach For All.

The Role:
Course Designer and Evaluator will be responsible for the co-creation and implementation of high-quality self-guided “offline” and online teacher training modules. Course Designer and Evaluator will work closely with the Teacher-Leaders’ Leadership Development Manager to ensure the online learning is internalized by the Teacher-Leaders and helps them to advance their teaching techniques.

The Team:
Teach For Armenia is expanding! As it grows, the organization has implemented a support model where its regional teams have the space to determine the strategies that make the most sense for their local contexts. To do so, each cluster will be staffed by a Head of Region, a Regional Coordinator and Leadership Development Managers. Course Designer and Evaluator will report directly to the Regional Director of Artsakh, but will also work very closely with the Programs Design Manager in order to implement the self-guided modules in the region and evaluate the tasks submitted by the Teacher-Leaders in Artsakh. Together, they will bring the organization's vision to life within the region.

About You:
Teach For Armenia may be the place for you if you believe it is important to foster a values-driven workplace that is centred on leadership. Teach For Armenia's team must be culture-builders who exemplify the type of leadership it is striving to cultivate in its classrooms and across the system. This means each staff member must strive to exemplify its Kochari, hold themselves to the highest of standards while owning up to mistakes when they themselves falter.

Teacher-Leader Evaluation, Ongoing Support, and Progress Tracking (50%)
- Track tasks, provide feedback, assess progress of Teacher-Leaders in pre-service online course;

Notes: In particular cases, the situation will require LDMs and Course Designer and Evaluator to visit classrooms together to support Teacher-Leaders through direct involvement. In these situations the extra time for site visits may be required. Furthermore, Teach For Armenia is a growing nonprofit working within a dynamic system. Its team must be agile as it grows in scale. Teach For Armenia is looking for leaders who are resilient and adaptive. That is to say that responsibilities may shift over time.

ԿԱԶՄԱԿԵՐՊՈւԹՅԱՆ ՄԱՍԻՆ՝

Teach For Armenia is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is enlisting Armenia's most promising future leaders in its mission to ensure all children in Armenia have access to an excellent education. Participants in the program, known as Fellows, serve as full-time teachers for 2 years in high-need schools across Armenia, and commit to transforming the education outcomes of less-privileged schoolchildren through significantly improving their achievements, affect and access. In the long term, Teach For Armenia Alumni will form a different class of leaders, working in various sectors to expand education opportunity for all children in Armenia. To date, Teach For Armenia has recruited over 100 Fellows across 4 cohorts. The Company aims to grow this number aggressively given the scale and urgency of education inequity.
