ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝
Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative in Armenia and direct supervision of Project Manager and the Lead Technical Officer in close collaboration with the FAO Teams in Armenia and in the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia the incumbent will specifically perform the following:ՊԱՐՏԱԿԱՆՈւԹՅՈւՆՆԵՐ՝
- Review the LEADER methodology with a concentration of legislative changes done in the national policy documents on agriculture/rural development;- Review relevant research papers, studies on introducing LEADER approach in Armenia and other non-EU countries to investigate the feasibility of its integration into Armenian policy and legislative frameworks;
- Review relevant national policies and legislation on rural/agriculture development paying specific emphasis on cooperative/ collaborative efforts among the farmers aiming at economic development of their territories;
- Based on the analysis propose and draft policy recommendations on the integration of the LEADER approach into national policy and legal frameworks;
- Prepare a mapping of relevant state institutions in the FAO-initiated policy dialogue;
- Participate in specific discussions on the integration of the LEADER approach into the context of Armenia;
- Based on the discussion, prepare training needs assessment and contribute to the development of capacity building and training material on the preparation/ implementation/evaluation/etc. of agricultural and rural development policies and on the application of the LEADER approach in particular;
- Participate in discussions and support the LEAD project team with specific tasks on agricultural and rural development policy and legal issues;
- Perform other duties as required.
ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝
- University degree in Agriculture, Political Sciences, Social Sciences or a closely related field and strong understanding of agricultural and rural development policies;- Three years of relevant experience;
- Working knowledge of Armenian and English languages;
- National of Armenia or resident in the country with a regular work permit.
