Merit basedՄԱՆՐԱՄԱՍՆ ՆԿԱՐԱԳՐՈւԹՅՈւՆ՝
The Professional Fellows Program affords promising young professionals the opportunity to gain practical experience in, and exposure to, United States government and/ or innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The fellows will be part of a larger cohort of the Professional Fellows Program, bringing together Fellows from Armenia and other Eurasian countries. The knowledge and interest of these young professionals in American processes will be expanded through short-term professional fellowships ranging from state legislatures, city halls and innovation and entrepreneurship offices across the United States, as well as non-profit organizations.PFP goals are to:
a) Strengthen understanding of the U.S. legislative and governance process;
b) Enhance appreciation of the role civil society plays in shaping public policy and holding the government accountable;
c) Create partnerships between institutions and individuals in the United States and Armenia;
d) Establish a common language to develop practical solutions for shared problems and concerns.
ՊԱՀԱՆՋՆԵՐ՝
To be eligible for PFP, applicants must:- Be a citizen of Armenia and currently reside in your country of citizenship. Applicants living outside of their country of citizenship will not be considered eligible to apply;
- Be between 25 and 35 (be born on/after September 25, 1987 and no later than September 25, 1997);
- Be a college graduate (equivalent of a Bachelor's degree or higher);
- Be proficient in English;
- Have relevant experience in and commitment to a career in the public sector and/or nonprofit sector (e.g., legislative, executive, and NGOs that address policy issues);
- Have demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills;
- Be committed to returning to their native country after the completion of the program; and
- Be able to participate in the program in the U.S. either during Fall 2022 or Spring 2023.
