ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝ 

The American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham) is looking for a candidate to be hired for the position of Technical Officer - Extended Producer Responsibility.

AmCham Sustainable Development Committee Waste Management Working Group members intend to execute a pilot in a community with a coverage of 16,000 people for a 2-year period in a fully operational mode. The idea is to run pilots for the separate collection and recycling of packaging in certain areas of the country. The Pilot will be implemented in collaboration with the Government and donor community.

Extended Producer Responsibility is a policy instrument under which manufacturers, producers and distributors take responsibility for their products and packaging at their end of life, by establishing systems to support the collection and recycling of post-consumer waste, including product take-back

ՊԱՐՏԱԿԱՆՈւԹՅՈւՆՆԵՐ՝ 

- Initiate, support and overview pilot projects for the collection and treatment of packaging;
- Negotiate the terms of collaboration with local authorities and waste management operators to achieve the targeted outcomes;
- Identify, evaluate and propose technical standards for equipment and processes for the collection and treatment of packaging;
- Overview, monitor and report on the results for pilot projects;
- Propose, evaluate and manage information and educational initiatives to promote sorting at source by the citizens. Overview the work of communication agency(ies);
- Utilise volunteers and CSOs to amplify the messages of the communication campaigns.

ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝ 

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields;
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English;
- 5+ years of experience in project management on data analysis, or regulatory consulting;
- Work under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Collaboration, ability to influence others without having positional authority, negotiation, determination and resiliency;
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and nontechnical individuals;
- Experience in the delivery and operation of technical projects or processes;
- Project Management Certification (PMI);
- 3+ years of experience interacting with stakeholders (Regulatory Bodies, Suppliers).
