ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ:
Tetra Tech ES, Inc. Branch in Armenia is seeking a Translator to conduct English-Armenian and Armenian-English translation for USAID’s Energy Secure Armenia activity. This position involves a part-time consultancy and hiring may be contingent upon USAID approval. Interested candidates must be eligible to work in Armenia. Tetra Tech values a diverse workplace and strives to achieve gender equality. Qualified women and men are strongly encouraged to apply.ОБЯЗАННОСТИ:
- Translate legislation, technical reports, memos, communications products, and other energy sector-related documents from Armenian to English or English to Armenian. Topics include but are not limited to legal-regulatory reform, renewable energy, energy efficiency, electricity trade and market liberalization;- Contribute to and review internal glossary of energy sector terminology;
- Review and proofread translations conducted by other translators;
- Respond to incoming requests for translation from USAID, GOAM and Energy Secure Armenia staff;
- Edit and translate written communications content relevant to Energy Secure Armenia including success stories, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, videos, and talking points;
- Contribute to Energy Secure Armenia reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting;
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ:
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Language or other relevant field;- Fluency in Armenian, English and Russian languages (reading, writing and presentation skills) with very strong oral and written skills;
- At least 5 years of experience in a translator role, preferably in corporate, USAID- or other donor-funded projects settings;
- Experience with Microsoft Office;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- High level of professionalism and tactfulness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Linguistics, Language or other relevant field;
- Experience in and knowledge of Armenia’s energy sector.
