I. Background: WWF Armenia Branch Office is WWF international Branch in Armenia with efficient operating systems, professional and skilled staff, strong financial resources, delivering conservation impact on issues that are key for WWF Network Initiatives and other global conservation priorities. WWF Armenia Branch Office is guided by strong conservation vision for the region.
II. Major Function: Conservation Manager ensures that WWF Armenia conservation projects and activities are developed and managed in line with regional and global conservation priorities and in compliance with existing laws and policies, and other relevant legal requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop annual work-plans in line with the regional conservation strategy and oversee its efficient implementation.
- Support and maintain a monitoring and reporting system for projects that ensures the best practice in programme management according to the network standards.
- Ensure strategic engagement with relevant international and national stakeholders for conservation and technical issues, including strong engagement on policy issues.
- Promote the vision and objectives of the Conservation Strategic Plan in WWF Armenia to government, donor, civil society, corporate, and WWF stakeholders at national- and international-level meetings and conferences.
- Work closely with the Regional Conservation Director and other conservation staff in order to ensure alignment and the smooth functioning of all aspects of the country programme.
- Ensure implementation of Environmental & Social Safeguards (ESSF) across projects and landscapes in Armenia, including risk screening.
- Ensure that potential risks are identified, tracked in the risk register, and effectively mitigated.
- Provide necessary support and input needed for WWF`s Global Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL) system.
- Participate in strategic partnership-building/fundraising approaches with government, donor, civil society, corporate, and WWF stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a technical communications network for the support of programmes and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with standards, both internal and external, for all conservation activities.
- Co-lead and support the development and submission of concepts and proposals, and for continuity of programme implementation, to ensure best practice in conservation and the growth of the conservation programme.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Conservation Director and Country Director.
ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝ 
- Advanced university degree in an appropriate field (conservation / environment / natural resource management, etc.).
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a project management with demonstrated success in managing team.
- Proven track record in successfully developing, leading, and managing projects in the field of conservation, natural resource management, international development, and/or other related fields.
- Knowledge of the international nature conservation challenges, tendencies and approaches, as well as existing situation, problems, policies, main players and large projects in the field of nature protection in the Caucasus, and particularly in Armenia.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication, negotiation and diplomatic skills.
- Ability to relate convincingly and credibly with diverse audiences.
Good awareness and sensitivity of different cultures and ability to communicate cross-culturally.
- Ability to handle complexity and multi-tasking.
- Strong language Systems thinker, logical, creative and problem solver.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Fluent English and Armenian languages.
