ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ: 

Public Journalism Club (PJC) is looking for an experienced Journalist to join the team of an EU-supported project.

The project aims to promote civil society engagement and public communication, as well as raise public awareness of the EU–Armenia Visa Liberalisation Dialogue and related reforms.

The selected candidate will produce accurate, accessible and engaging journalistic, explanatory and digital content for PJC’s website, social media channels, digital platforms, Media Center, the project’s Resource Platform and other communication channels. The role also includes uploading, publishing and regularly updating content across PJC and project online resources and social media pages.

ОБЯЗАННОСТИ: 

- Research the project’s thematic areas and produce journalistic, explanatory and public awareness content.

- Produce articles, interviews, explanatory materials, FAQs, social media posts, scripts for videos and reels, and other digital content.

- Present complex legal, public policy and reform-related information in a clear, accurate and accessible way for a general audience.

- Develop content that contributes to greater public awareness of the visa liberalisation process, citizens’ rights, relevant procedures and related reforms.

- Produce “myth vs. fact” materials, pre-bunking content and explanatory materials addressing disinformation, misinformation and common public misconceptions.

- Produce content for the coverage and dissemination of Media Center discussions, public events, journalist engagement activities and regional outreach.

- Prepare, upload and regularly update content on PJC’s website, the project’s Resource Platform and other online resources.

- Manage PJC and project social media pages by preparing, adapting, publishing and updating content in line with the specific features and audiences of each platform.

- Cooperate, as needed, with designers, video producers, photographers, subject-matter experts and other professionals.

- Monitor audience reactions and key performance indicators of published content and, where appropriate, suggest improvements to content formats or presentation.

- Prepare materials in line with PJC’s editorial principles, project objectives and applicable EU communication and visibility requirements.

- Ensure factual accuracy, adherence to ethical standards and non-partisanship, as well as responsible coverage of sensitive topics.

ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ: 

- University degree in journalism, communications, media or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in journalism, digital media, content production or communications.
- Strong skills in structuring journalistic stories, writing and conducting interviews.
- Experience producing and publishing content for websites, digital platforms and social media.
- Experience managing social media pages and adapting content for different platforms.
- Experience developing content for videos, reels or other audiovisual formats will be considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate complex topics in clear, accurate and engaging language.
- Good knowledge of Armenia’s media and social media environment.
- Experience in fact-checking, media literacy, disinformation-related work, public awareness campaigns and/or EU- or other donor-funded projects will be considered an asset.
- Excellent written and spoken Armenian and good command of English.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, online tools, and AI tools.
