About Teach For Armenia:
Teach For Armenia is building a movement of leaders who will reshape what it means to provide an excellent education for all children across the nation. Teach For Armenia aims to cultivate students who can harness their voices and shape a changing world while being committed to their communities. This will require support at every level of leadership, from the teachers in the classroom, to the highest-ranking officials. Teach For Armenia aims to accomplish this vision by recruiting promising young leaders, both in Armenia and from across the diaspora, to teach for a 2-year commitment in schools where their knowledge and skills are needed. In the long-run, the Organization is cultivating a network of changemakers, inclusive of its students, their communities, its Alumni, government officials, community partners, supporters, and affiliates from across Teach For All.
The Role:
The Marketing, Communications and Engagement Manager is the “voice” of Teach For Armenia. Whether it be Teach For Armenia’s weekly newsletters, social media content, or press releases, the Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Manager is responsible for curating the Organization’s narrative and story of impact in a way that is cohesive, inspiring, and consistent with Teach For Armenia’s Kochari. Additionally, the Marketing, Communications and Engagement Manager is also responsible for architecting and orchestrating externally facing events that are intended to engage a broad range of stakeholders into the work (e.g. FORUM405). To do so, the Marketing, Communications and Engagement Manager oversees a team of vendors and contractors that help to implement various projects (such as the organization’s Podcast).
The Team:
The Marketing, Communications and Engagement Manager will report directly to the Head of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement, and will work alongside the Senior Brand Manager in order to bolster Teach For Armenia’s image with external stakeholders. The Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Department is a part of the External Affairs Division, which also includes the Private Partnerships Team as well as the Public Partnerships Team. Together, the External Affairs Division is responsible for boosting Teach For Armenia’s relations with government stakeholders, donors, collaborators, and supporters. Given the Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Team’s role in sharing its story of impact, it is critical for this department to collaborate across the Organization with the Talent Initiatives as well as the Program Divisions.
About You:
Teach For Armenia may be the place for you if you believe it is important to foster a values-driven workplace that is centered on leadership. Teach For Armenia's team must be composed of culture-builders who exemplify the type of leadership Teach For Armenia is striving to cultivate in its classrooms and across the system.
