ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ: 
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization. MSF is a non-profit, self-governed worldwide movement of more than 63,000 people. MSF provides emergency medical assistance during armed conflict, natural disasters, and deadly disease outbreaks and assists those excluded from healthcare. MSF delivers care based on need, and when MSF sees injustice, MSF speaks out. MSF is an organization that remains impartial, knowledgeable, and effective, and this is what makes the difference between life and death.
The context in Nagorno-Karabakh is/has been a fragile active/long-term -conflict context with a risk of conflict escalations. The population of Nagorno-Karabakh has historically been affected by a series of severe stressors, violence, and social and political events. These factors significantly impacted the population’s mental health and well-being. The people still fear for the future, and mental health needs will not decrease with the non-resolved status of Nagorno Karabakh.
For the past two years, MSF has been focusing on indirectly enhancing specialized care through providing capacity-building training and supervision to MoH Psychologists in 4 outlets in Nagorno-Karabakh without directly contacting the community or addressing Mental health awareness, preventive or Psychological first aid care.
In 2023 MSF started looking into expanding the Mental Health activities in Nagorno- Karabakh to reach out to the community through a social and medical platform, helpline, and community engagement activities.
Main Purpose
The Psychologist will provide online psychological support through a helpline to patients geographically located in Nagorno-Karabakh according to MSF principles, standards and procedures in order to improve the patients’ mental health.
ОБЯЗАННОСТИ: 
- Through the helpline service, to carry out an evaluation of mental health needs of patients and establish a diagnosis and refer in case to identified specialized care in Nagorno-Karabakh in case a plan of treatment is required. Collaborate with patients to set therapeutic goals and determine appropriate interventions;
- Have the ability to effectively communicate medical information, test results, diagnoses and/or proposed treatment in a manner easily understood by the patients;
- Support in the training of MSF Psychologist based in Nagorno-Karabakh for assessment and diagnosis of psychological and/or psychiatric disorders;
- Support the team in the establishment and reviewing of the referral system between helpline psychologists and Mental health services in Nagorno-Karabakh;
- Provide online psychological support and psychotherapy sessions through MSF helpline (individual, family,) to patients according to MSF protocols in order to improve their mental health conditions;
- Assist and train staff members and resourceful people whenever necessary in order to enhance the scope of MH activities. Work in close collaboration with translators in order to ensure appropriate terminology and behavior during sessions;
- Collect statistical and monitoring data about mental health activities;
- Inform/ update the supervisor and the medical team about any issues or problems that may arise related to patients’ treatment in order to provide the best possible solution from a medical perspective;
- Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential, including assessment reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines regarding documentation and record keeping;
- Assess and manage crisis situations, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and coordinating appropriate emergency interventions. Provide immediate support to clients in distress and connect them with appropriate resources;
- Stay updated with current research, best practices, and developments in the field of psychology. Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, or training programs, to enhance your knowledge and skills.
ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ: 
- Essential bachelor’s degree in psychology, desirable in clinical Psychology;
- Essential 4 years of experience minimum as a Psychologist;
- Previous experience with MSF or other NGOs in Armenia would be an asset;
- Knowledge of the Armenian (mother tongue) language; excellent command of the English language; knowledge of Russian and/ or French is an asset;
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet).
