Armenian Branch of Association “Medecins Sans Frontieres” (Switzerland) is supporting Republic of Armenia Ministry of Health (MoH) with the Hepatitis C elimination plan with evidence for optimized models of care to scale-up the access to Hepatitis C virus (HCV) care, and with the elimination-targets by expanding access to screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Hepatitis C project is seeking to employ a candidate for performing professional translation activities and delegated duties depending on supervisor’s specialization and instructions and according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper representation and translation of MSF activities and core values.
ОБЯЗАННОСТИ: 
- Perform professional written and oral interpretation and translation activities according to the supervisor’s specialization (e.g. MD, RN, IC, Pharmacy, Mental Health, Lab, Logistics, Operations, HR), ensuring medical confidentiality, neutrality and respect towards patients, collaborators, authorities, military factions and MSF staff;
- Perform administrative tasks required by supervisor (arrangement of meetings, minute taking, and follow-up for patient care). Provide necessary feedback to the supervisor following discussions and negotiations and. Assist with report writing (MSF and Government required reports), ensure that all meeting minutes are recorded and that translated documents are properly filed;
- Depending on the supervisor’s specialization and the needs of the respective department, establish and maintain professional contacts with relevant authorities and communicate MSF's messages to MoH counterparts and authorities (specifically related to patient care);
- Ensure that the supervisor is aware of cultural nuances when dealing with MoH authorities and counterparts to ensure a good working relationship. Educating the supervisor on effective methods of culturally sensitive communication and informing international staff about local customs, tradition, etc. that will help in better communication and understanding of the context;
- Immediately inform the supervisor of any problems that might be linked to individual behaviour (counterproductive and/or culturally insensitivity) and declare any “conflict of interest” when asked to translate (e.g. personal involvement);
- Uphold MSF’s core principles, values, quality standards and Code of Conduct. Respecting MSF’s identification materials and not abusing their use aside from their intended purposes;
- Observe security rules and regulations, not putting self and others in danger. Promote and maintain MSF quality standards.

Candidate profile:
You are an enthusiastic, ambitious, eager to learn, flexible person, capable of working independently and with accuracy. At the same time, you are a team player with initiative, a hands-on mentality and tenacity with regard to following-up on issues and files.
Requirements:
- Education: Higher education (health degree would be an asset);
- Professional training in translation;
- Experience: Essential to at least two years of previous working experience. Desirable in MSF or other NGOs;
- Experience in written and oral translations and performing administrative tasks;
- Languages: Armenian (mother tongue); excellent command of English; knowledge of Russian is an asset;
- Knowledge: Proficient computer literacy (MS Office package).
Competencies:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Armenian and English languages;
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Outstanding proven time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize ongoing vs. immediate need appropriately;
- Willingness to travel within and outside of Armenia;
- Able to integrate into a multicultural team;
- Able to manage stress;
- Adhere to MSF principles and to managerial values: respect, transparency, integrity, accountability, trust and empowerment;

О ПРОГРАММЕ: 
Hepatitis C project based in Yerevan:
To support Armenian MoH with the Hepatitis C elimination plan with evidence for optimized models of care to scale-up the access to HCV care, and with the elimination-targets by expanding access to screening, diagnosis and treatment.
The project will provide access to timely Hepatitis C screening, diagnosis, and treatment trough a simplified “one-stop-shop” service delivery model in two different settings:
- In existing MoH PHC facility (Polyclinic) in Yerevan City targeting general population in one-stop-shop-model, and including differentiated services delivery models for key populations in partnership with community-based organization in a PPP approach.
It is expected to use already existing community-led activities for community HIV testing adding HCV screening trough assisted self testingsm, and explore collaboration with HIV, OST, TB and prevention/harm reduction services for care integration and post-treatment follow up
- In penitentiary system, by a Test &Treat approach in Armavir prison, and support with commodities (Xpert cartridges and DAAs) to Yerevan Penitentiary Hospital for diagnosis and treatment in the other prisons by reflex testing and telemedicine.
A network mapping for follow up after release to be developed in order to link to prevention/harm reductions services and timely detect reinfections.
