The Role: At present, Teach For Armenia operates in more than 10% of all public schools in Armenia. Each year, the Organization trains more than 100 new teachers in innovative pedagogical practices, such as Change-Based Learning. Change-Based Learning is an inquiry approach to teaching that positions students as leaders. With the support of the teacher, students research solutions to issues confronting their communities. Then, they create an action plan and develop a project proposal. After testing this approach in hundreds of communities across Armenia and Artsakh, Teach For Armenia aims to hire an educator experienced with Project-Based Learning to design a “Change-Based Learning Handbook” that can be used across the nation with all teachers.
The Team: The CBL Handbook Designer will report directly to the Head of Learning Design and Impact, who also manages two full-time Program Design Managers as well as a Data and Impact Manager. The Learning Design and Impact Team works in close collaboration with the Regional Teams, which oversee the implementation of Teach For Armenia’s two-year Leadership Development Program.
About You: Teach For Armenia may be the place for you if you believe it is important to foster a values-driven workplace that is centered on leadership. - Support the Program Design managers and Regional Teams during Teacher-Leadership Academy, a 6-week intensive training program and adapt the developed content of the Toolkit according to the off site observations.
Note: Teach For Armenia is a growing nonprofit working within a dynamic system. Its team must be agile as it grows in scale. Teach For Armenia is looking for leaders who are resilient and adaptive. That is to say that responsibilities may shift over time.
