ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝ 

“International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education” (ICARE) Foundation is looking for an experienced and proactive Financial Management Expert to support the implementation of the DEMONSTRATING CLIMATE-SMART PRACTICES IN HORTICULTURE IN ARMENIA Project, within the framework of PROGRESS - Promoting Green Deal Readiness in the Eastern Partnership Countries programme commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN).
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and in close coordination with the Project Coordinator, the Financial Management Expert will play a leading role in strengthening farmers’ and agribusinesses’ access to green finance by developing and implementing practical financial tools, training programs, and individualized advisory support. The position covers a wide scope, from mapping financial institutions and analyzing green financing instruments to designing user-friendly funding application templates, delivering info sessions on financial literacy and investment readiness, and providing hands-on guidance to farmers and agribusinesses in preparing bankable proposals for climate-smart technologies and sustainable horticultural investments.

ՊԱՐՏԱԿԱՆՈւԹՅՈւՆՆԵՐ՝ 

- Map and analyze financial institutions and programs offering green or climate-smart agriculture financing, and develop a database summarizing accessible options for smallholders and agribusinesse;
- Design and test a standardized, user-friendly template to assist farmers and businesses in accessing green financing opportunities;
- Collaborate with selected financial institutions to validate and refine the template;
- Conduct info sessions on the financial literacy and developed template;
- Offer one-on-one consultations to help participants complete their financing applications;
- Review applications to ensure alignment with financing program criteria;
- Provide recommendations for improvement to maximize application success rates;
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses (CBA) of the project’s demonstration sites, assessing the economic viability, environmental performance, and scalability of implemented climate-smart horticultural practices;
- Coordinate closely with ICARE’s Project Manager, Project Coordinator and trainers to ensure harmonized implementation;
- Provide inputs to regular project progress reports on the activities conducted and indicators achieved.

ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝ 

- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Development, or related field;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in donor-funded or international projects, preferably in agribusiness development, project management, or consulting in the agricultural sector;
- Proven record in developing financial templates or tools, conducting financial literacy training, or advising on agricultural lending;
- Experience working with or advising financial institutions or donor-funded development projects (experience with GIZ is a plus);
- Understanding of green finance principles and climate-smart investment frameworks.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills;
- Excellent training and facilitation capabilities for diverse audiences;
- High proficiency in report writing and presentation in English and Armenian;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with farmers, banks, and stakeholders;
- Knowledge of Armenia’s financial and agricultural sector;
- Fluency in Armenian; working knowledge of English;
- Proficiency in MS Office and web-based applications;
- Willingness to travel across Armenia for fieldwork.
