ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ՝
The Embassy of Sweden in Yerevan is looking for a committed Political, Trade and Promotion Officer. The Embassy of Sweden in Yerevan, is responsible for political reporting, trade- and cultural promotion, consular services, as well as a growing development cooperation portfolio. The Embassy works closely together with colleagues in Stockholm at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish international development co-operation agency, Sida. The Embassy of Sweden is located in the centre of Yerevan. Currently the embassy employs five expats and seven local staff.General information about the position
You should be able to work independently but will also work closely with the other colleagues in the Embassy. The working language is English.
The employment will be in accordance with the Embassy’s locally engaged staff Terms and condition/local legislation and begin with a 3-month probationary period. The salary will be decided based on the successful candidate´s individual skills and experience and the Embassy’s terms and conditions. The position is full time, 39 hours, 45 minutes per week.
ՊԱՐՏԱԿԱՆՈւԹՅՈւՆՆԵՐ՝
.Your tasks will include
- Monitoring political and economic developments in Armenia and the region, particularly trade and investments and EU accession, with a focus on identifying opportunities for Swedish businesses and promoting Swedish-Armenian trade relations;
- Preparing analyses on political, macroeconomic, and trade developments, as well as ad-hoc reports on specific sectors;
- Planning, coordinating and conducting trade promotion projects in close cooperation with other Embassy sections, as well as with Armenian and international partners;
- Developing a network of key stakeholders across government and private sector, as well as with multilateral institutions;
- Handling inquiries and providing guidance to Swedish companies exploring the Armenian market;
- Supporting and contributing to the Embassy’s work on Sweden promotion, communication and social media.
ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ՝
- Academic degree in a field relevant to the position;- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, for example, from EU, Embassies, UN or other international organisations, international or national civil society organisations or national and/or local level government institutions;
- Good understanding of the political and economic context in Armenia and the region;
- Ability to navigate between government, private sector and international actors;
- Excellent oral and analytical writing and communication skills in English and Armenian;
- Good general proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a willingness to learn other systems required;
