Full Time (40 hours per week)
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The incumbent installs, maintains and performs full journeyman mechanic level and repair work on Embassy and residential heating systems, water boilers based on oral instructions from the supervisor, work orders received and/or installation manuals for boiler installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of hot water gas/oil fired boiler systems located in the Embassy and STL residences. This includes performing weekly, quarterly, annual Preventive Maintenance inspections by checking water level in the system, cleaning or replacing gas/ oil filters, bleeding air from the system through the individual air-vents, checking the city gas pressure and air pressure in the expansion tank.
- Responsible for analyzing quality of the flame/ by checking percentage of: CO2, CO, O2 and temperature in the exhaust pipe as well as the quality of the air draft. Adjusting spark gap and make up air quantity in junction with fuel/gas quantity through the air damper and high pressure pump to get the equipment to run with the maximum efficiency. Visually inspecting all the joints and fittings for leaks. Troubleshooting and repairing/ replacing if necessary, any malfunctioning or burned out parts and components such as: solenoid valves, relays, burner nozzles, spark plugs, photocell, circulating pumps using genuine spare parts. Determining nature and extent of repair work necessary. Interchanging gas/ fuel furnaces. Thoroughly cleaning boiler chambers and exhaust pipes with special brushes and vacuum cleaner. Inspecting day tank level indicators and limit switches. Performing test runs, controlling thermostats and other safety devices. Driving water truck to deliver drinking water into the residences on emergencies, when there is a problem with the city water supply;
- Drive Embassy vehicle as needed (Incidental operator shall be 25 years or older to be assigned an official vehicle).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- At least 1 year of journeyman experience in trade of primary expertise;
- English language level I (basic knowledge) - writing/ speaking/ reading (this may be tested);
- Armenian language level III (good working knowledge) - writing/ speaking/ reading (this may be tested);
- Valid, current class “B” license: shall have had a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years; must demonstrate safe driving skills.
