JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Business Consultant will provide essential support to a market development projects, working with the Projects Management and other team members will carry out multiple assignments to achieve projects success.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The job responsibilities of the Business Consultant include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the smooth implementation of the market development projects specific interventions assigned by the Project Management;
- Develop project concepts with detailed work-plans and associated communications documents;
- Provide business consultancy and advise to Projects beneficiaries, partners and Project team;
- Supervise, coach and lead the appointed project team, consultants and experts involved in the implementation process;
- Provide leadership and strategic thinking; communicate project expectations to the team members, experts, Project partners and relevant stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the planned activities;
- Responsible for developing and delivering project related documents, including progress reports, proposals, technical documentation, communication materials, presentations, etc.; ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;
- Monitor performance, adjusting the activities based on performance and/ or external factors (changes in market, etc.);
-Review the strategy of the Project interventions under the guidance of the Projects Management team on a regular basis to ensure that it contributes to the Projects' overall goals and objectives;
- Carry out other tasks as may be required connected to the Project's implementation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or other related disciplines;
- Demonstrated expertise and achievement in the implementation, management and review of market development or income and employment focused aid programs and/ or activities;
- At least 5 years of work experience in the related fields;
- Experience in applying market system development (MSD) approaches, such as Making Markets work for the Poor (M4P) is highly desirable;
- Program management skills with supporting skills in communication, negotiation and representation;
- Research and analytical skills with a practical focus;
- Understanding of the social economic development context in Armenia;
- Sound judgment, problem solving skills, initiative and results orientation;
- Ability to work effectively in teams with adaptability and responsiveness;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Fluency in written and spoken Armenian and English languages;
- Computer literacy with practical experience in Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability and willingness to travel countrywide (at least 50% of time).
