JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Democracy International (DI) is seeking to hire a Communications Specialist for the multi-year USAID-funded Protection, Inclusion, and Empowerment Activity in Armenia. Based in Yerevan, Armenia, the project supports local officials, civil society leaders, private sector actors, and marginalized groups in addressing legislative gaps, enhancing collaboration among local stakeholders in policymaking and implementation, increasing resources, and strengthening their responsiveness to unforeseen events. This will be a full-time position based in Yerevan, Armenia. This position is only open to Armenian citizens.
The Communications Specialist will manage the project communication activities and work with the field office and partners to collate project results and success stories. They will lead communicating project results and impact to internal and external audiences and ensure effective messaging reaches and resonates with target audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Prepare and produce documents that communicate program results both externally and to the client, including success stories, monthly bulletins, and other products as specified;
- Prepare and/or supervise the design of program communications materials/ media, including the design and operation of a project website and/or social media sites, branding and marking strategies, campaigns, and radio and TV spots, and support to Armenian implementation partners;
- Supervise training and strategic communications activities, including developing and disseminating communications materials, assisting with outreach to program stakeholders, and planning program workshops, forums, and other events;
- Develop infographics and other educational tools to compliment technical activities and communicate key program messages;
Responsible for the project’s digital archive of photo, relevant videos, and appearances in the media;
- Responsible for training all staff members, partners, grantees, collaborators, and subcontractors in the appropriate use of the branding and marking requirements authorized by the client, as required;
- Responsible for the organization and implementation of live and virtual events;
- Supervise the work with technical advisors to ensure the program communication strategy is effectively implemented;
- Serve as a liaison with the press, media, communications, and public relations staff members;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing or relevant field, or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of USAID’s communication protocols and branding marking desirable;
- Experience on event planning, graphic communications, advertising, campaigning, and news writing;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications role;
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Reporting:
- This position reports to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)
