JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Jinishian Memorial Foundation (JMF) is looking for a candidate to work as an Economic Development Project Officer to implement “Syunik Sustainable Economic Development Initiative” (SSEDI) project. The project is part of the Recovery, Resilience, Development for Syunik project (R2D Syunik), implemented within the Resilient Syunik Team Europe initiative in cooperation with local governments and co-financed by the European Union and Austrian Development Agency. The overall objective of the R2D Syunik project is to enhance recovery and resilience of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and sustainable small-scale communal infrastructure in Syunik.
Jinishian Memorial Foundation’s contract with R2D Syunik project goes under the Component 1 with the following specific Objective: A sustainable mechanism for supporting MSMEs in line with ADA and EU Guidelines is set up and being implemented in Syunik Region.
The expected results from this partnership include:
- Support for 120 direct beneficiaries, focusing on women, youth, forcibly displaced persons (FDPs), and people with disabilities (PWDs).
- Creation of 34 new businesses, with 30% led by women and 40% by youth.
- Over 500-600 indirect beneficiaries through job creation and economic growth.
- Promotion of sustainable practices, ensuring long-term resilience.
This initiative is all about fostering economic diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability, focusing on key sectors like agro-processing, manufacturing, and tourism.
The employee will be based in Goris, Syunik region.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Conduct data collection within the scope of the project activities for research, educational, reporting and other purposes;
- Conduct frequent visits to project targeted communities in Syunik region;
- Prepare project related documents, contracts and other necessary materials (reports, booklets, success stories and etc.);
- Administer procurement related tasks within the project’s grants schemes for the project direct beneficiaries – start-ups and MSEMs in Syunik;
- Organize and coordinate the project related capacity building and consulting activities in the region and online;
- Be a focal point closely working with the project beneficiaries and stakeholders in Syunik region;
- Participate in written and spoken presentation of the projects activities;
- Monitor and evaluate project activities to guarantee programmatic and financial compliance to project proposals, donor contracts and JMF policies;
- Be informed on economic development initiatives in Armenia, particularly in Syunik, including the activities of other key players and partners in the project;
- Maintain good relations with the local team, partners and stakeholders supporting the formation of lasting partnerships;
- Direct implementation of the tasks assigned by JMF’s Economic Development Program Coordinator that relates to the project activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Bachelor/ Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics or other relevant field;
- At least 4 years of work experience in the field of project management, regional economic development initiatives, management consulting and other respective sector;
- Experience working under an EU or ADA funded schemes is an asset;
- Knowledge of the Syunik region is a strong asset;
- Experience working with regional MSMEs is a strong asset;
- Knowledge of Inclusive Market Systems Development approach is an asset;
- Understanding of international development cooperation principles and quality standards;
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in Armenian and English;
- Good interpersonal skills and adherence to the highest standards of ethics and integrity;
- Computer Skills (MS Office);
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Preferably from Syunik region as the office will be based in Goris.

REMUNERATION/ SALARY: 
The minimum salary for this position depends on qualification and experience and is based on a full-time employment.
