JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Armenian Red Cross Society is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Assistant to join its team. The Financial Assistant will support with daily financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent numerical skills, and a keen eye for accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records;
- Handle the preparation, verification, and processing of invoices and ensure timely payments;
- Monitor and reconcile expense reports and ensure compliance with organization policies;
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records;
- The preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review;
- Support budget preparation and monitor actual vs. budgeted expenses, providing insights and variance analysis;
- Accurately enter financial data into the accounting software and maintain financial databases and spreadsheets;
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required;
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and managing financial documentation;
- Work closely with the financial department to ensure cohesive financial operations, share information, and support collective financial goals;
- Prepare and process travel arrangements, including booking transportation and accommodation, and ensuring all travel expenses are documented and reconciled;
- Manage and process purchase order requests, ensuring all orders are accurate, within budget, and properly approved.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a financial assistant, finance officer, or in a similar role;
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting;
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements;
- Adherence to ARCS principles and values.
