JOB DESCRIPTION: 
UWC Dilijan college is looking for an experienced and committed candidate to fill in the position of French Teacher. Teachers at UWC Dilijan are educators in the widest sense following the UWC educational model. They are role-models that see opportunities to further UWC Dilijan college students' education both inside and outside the classroom. They are expected to engage fully in all areas of College life: academic, CAS (including the Company's activities, outdoor programme and service learning) and residential life.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Create a safe, effective and stimulating learning environment appropriate to the needs of the students using their diversity as an asset;p
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the students becoming a role model and someone they can turn to;
- Ensure a high quality learning experience for the students in the classes allocated by the Head of Faculty and Deputy Head. In order to do so, both individual, collaborative planning and collaborative resource preparation are essential;
- Provide feedback for successful learning. UWC Dilijan considers providing regular feedback to the students using a variety of methods to be essential;
- Assess, evaluate and record students learning on the systems employed by the College regularly. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance;
- Engage continuously in professional learning in order to keep up to date with developments in education in general and in the relevant subject areas;
- Participate in all other activities and duties as shall be reasonably requested by the Head.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Commitment and passion for education and inspiring students: at least 3 years of teaching experience; experience in teaching the IB Diploma Programme would be an advantage;
- Proven successful experience of working with children and adolescents (other relevant experience outside schools will also be considered);
- Previous safeguarding training would be an advantage, otherwise appointed candidates will be expected to undergo initial training before joining UWCD and further training while with UWC Dilijan College;
- Undergraduate studies in the relevant field; postgraduate studies in education, counseling, or similar areas would be an advantage;
- Understanding of and/or readiness to join a residential school;
- Open-mindedness and ability to work in an international, intercultural environment;
- Proficiency in the taught subject. The ability to teach more than one subject and to lead different activities would be an advantage.;
- Professional proficiency in English and French languages. Proficiency in other languages as well as intercultural experience is desirable;
- Previous involvement in both the International Baccalaureate and the Council of International Schools (as an examiner, workshop leader, visiting team member, etc.) would be an advantage.
