JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Leadership Development Manager (LDM) is responsible for guiding and leading a group of 15-20 Teach For Armenia Teacher-Leaders towards becoming visionary leaders, who are driving transformational impact in their classrooms and communities, growing into strategic long-term system change-makers. LDM will manage community relationships and partner school engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Teacher-Leadership Academy (20%):
- Organize and manage ongoing logistics for Teacher-Leadership Academy;
- Set a strong team culture among the Teacher-Leaders and establish and maintain a strong culture of excellence across Academy focused on the Academy goals and grounded in Teach For Armenia's core values and commitments;
- Observe Teacher-Leaders' classroom teaching and provide feedback aligned with Teaching As Leadership framework and vision for Teacher-Leaders excellence;
- Facilitate sessions focused on the Teaching As Leadership framework (
www.teachingasleadership.org), as well as other professional development areas;
- Provide planning support to Teacher-Leaders by reviewing lesson plans and providing feedback to ensure students in Teacher-Leaders classrooms are getting high-quality summer school learning experience;
- Coach Teacher-Leaders to maximize their impact on students and ensure the strategic development of their teaching and leadership capacity;
- Influence, motivate, and inspire the Teacher-Leaders and lead them in developing the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to be effective transformational leaders in the classroom and beyond;
- Manage successful implementation and impact of student-led community projects organized by Teacher-Leaders;
- Engage in potentially difficult conversations with Teacher-Leaders during challenging times;
- Evaluate Teacher-Leaders performance every week during TLA.
2-year Leadership Development Program (60%):
- Contribute to the development and successful implementation of Training and Support Department's Strategy;
- Guide Teacher-Leaders to set contextualized vision and goals for student transformation and Teacher-Leaders' leadership journey from Teacher-Leaders to Alumni Ambassador;
- Design individual leadership development plans for Teacher-Leaders and manage and coach them to reach those;
- Develop Teacher-Leaders capacities for transformational teaching and strong relationships, including long and short-term planning, classroom management, student engagement and motivation, higher-order teaching, analyzing and assessing student data, differentiated instruction;
- Guide Teacher-Leaders in developing skills to plan and implement impactful community projects;
- Evaluate Teacher-Leaders performance using a range of evidence, including classroom observations, data analysis and individual reflection sessions that highlight areas of improvement and define next steps;
- Manage the organization and implementation of Teacher-Leaders monthly gathering events;
- Build authentic relationships to connect with Teacher-Leaders' diverse styles, strengths, and needs. Engage in potentially difficult conversations with Teacher-Leaders through 1-on-1 conversations;
- Establish and maintain a strong culture of excellence focused on the Organization's vision;
- Constantly communicate TFA's ambassador movement vision with Teacher-Leaders during feedback sessions and Teacher-Leaders gathering events and reinforce the right knowledge/ skills/ mindsets to ensure Teacher-Leaders smoothly transition to Alumni hood;
- Maintain LDP and TLA policies and procedures.
Interdepartmental and Regional Cooperation Management (20%):
- Own and support broader regional and organizational priorities and support other departments, such as:
a) Building strong relationships with school principals and communities, driven from IP strategy;
b) Collecting and sharing key data and analysis on schools to the Regional Partnerships Department to inform placement and principal cultivation decisions;
c) Collecting and sharing key data and analysis on Teacher-Leaders competencies to RSM Department to inform selection decisions;
d) Collecting and sharing key data and analysis on communities, schools and Teacher-Leaders impact to AIC and SDev Departments to inform strategy;
e) Contributing to the development and successful implementation of TFA's regionalization strategy based on specific regional needs, ownership of regional cohorts including fostering regional identity among Teacher-Leaders;
- Serve as Teach For Armenia ambassadors in regions and act as liaisons between communities and Teach For Armenia.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Deep commitment to Teach For Armenia's mission and core values;
- Deep understanding of pedagogical theory and practice;
- At least 3 years of experience achieving ambitious outcomes as a classroom teacher;
- Excellent Armenian and English speaking and writing skills;
- Great team skills, while the ability to work under own initiative to meet ambitious results;
- Exceptional relationship-building skills; ability to establish effective working relationships with people of all working styles, backgrounds, experiences;
- Profound communications skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to communicate the mission effectively;
- Strong analytical skills for assessing progress, tracking tasks and following through on the execution of plans;
- Deep critical thinking skills to analyze and reflect on personal progress and challenges, taking ownership of self-development and continuing professional development;
- Inspiration, commitment and positive attitude towards individual and organizational goals;
- Willingness to travel, work on some weekends, and other times as needed.
