JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Strategic Development Agency is looking for an enthusiastic PR and Communications Specialist to manage our external and internal communications. You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our company’s behalf. Under the guidance and supervision of the head of the organization, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the internal and external public relations and communications policies and procedures of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The job responsibilities of the PR/Communications Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in the development of effective corporate communication strategies;
- Develop work plans for communication events, schedules, and their implementation according to the needs of the organization;
- Assist project teams to execute communication and visibility strategies in accordance with donors’ and organization’s guidelines and policies;
- Collect, synthesize and package information, including production, editing of press releases, human success stories, web stories etc;
- Edit texts of a specialized or technical nature in order to ensure accuracy, clarity, cohesion and conformity with the organization house-style English and Armenian, policy and practice;
- Liaise with media, organize and facilitate media coverage for public events and initiatives;
- Liaise with communication service providers for the production of material including; visibility materials, publications, photography, audio-visual production etc.;
- Produce communication productions i.e. projects’ publications, website updates, booklets, leaflets; brochures, clips and photo-library;
- Maintain online social presence of the organization and projects’ activities including website updating, Facebook and LinkedIn etc.;
- Assist in organizing projects’ events, workshops, meetings, donor and partner field trips, briefings etc;
- Maintain database of all projects’ partners, stakeholders and networks;
- Contribute to communications-related activities;
- Perform other related duties, including the direct implementation of some technical activities, as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- University degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or in a related area;
- At least 2 years of experience in the relevant position;
- Experience of working with governmental structures, mass media, donor organizations, non-governmental organizations and private sector;
- Proven social media and networking expertise;
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, tact and a high sense of responsibility;
- Good time management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly express ideas in oral and written forms, accuracy in task implementation and concentration;
- Strategic and creative mindset;
- Ability and willingness to travel across the regions of RA;
- Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations in a team and independently;
- Fluency in English, Russian and Armenian languages;
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Understanding of the rural development context in Armenia is a plus.
