About us:
The Children of Armenia Charitable Fund (COAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for rural Armenians through child-centered community development programs. COAF's core focus areas include education, healthcare, child and family support services, as well as social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting from a single village and expanding to 82 communities. The organization has invested over $70 million USD in community infrastructure and development projects, directly benefiting more than 107,000 rural residents. Since 2015, COAF has developed and implemented the SMART Initiative. SMART advances rural communities through education, creating a win-win situation for individuals, society, and the environment. As an exemplary model for development, SMART is currently being scaled to other regions and communities across Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center is located in Debet village, Lori region, and officially opened its doors on May 27, 2018.
