Established in 1988 as a not-for-profit organization and based in New York, the East-West Management Institute is dedicated to strengthening democratic societies by uniting government, civil society, and the private sector to cultivate accountable, capable, and transparent institutions.
EWMI addresses complex challenges with practical, cross-cutting solutions. Our expertise lies in targeted, locally relevant initiatives that cultivate partnerships and foster collaboration across sectors. From assisting state and local advocates in policy formulation and reform to engaging in court administration, building the capacity of justice sector institutions, providing technical assistance to civil society, and working on anti-corruption initiatives, EWMI's efforts encompass a wide range of activities.
