JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The Role: Children of Armenia Charitable Fund (COAF) is looking for a highly-skilled professional chef, who is passionate about food and cooking and demonstrates good leadership qualities, for the position of Executive Chef at the Concept Hotel and Conference Center by COAF (Children of Armenia Fund).
The Team: By assuming the role of Executive Chef at the Conference Center, you will join the Concept Hotel and the Conference Center team CHCC (with an employment contract) and will work under the direct supervision of the CHCC manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordination and Supervision (50%)
- Coordinate and manage overall activities of the kitchen;
- Participate in several kitchen and service processes, including the professional set-up of the kitchen, the regular review of the kitchen equipment tender bids, and the reparation of the final list of equipment;
- Develop the signature menu of the restaurant, take part in the creation of the buffet menu, the special events menus, as well as the corporate and group menus (jointly with the restaurateur);
- Create the calculation and technological cards and make sure they are ideally integrated into the existing restaurant software program;
- Supervise the process of preparation, the quality, and the decoration of the served food, as well as the quality of the received products;
- Apply solid knowledge of the HACCP international standards and make sure the standards are followed in all sections of food processing and preparation;
- Track and make timely orders of food and goods following the accepted standard procedures;
- Be involved in the inventory process, carry direct responsibility for each production site and department;
- Control the kitchen area cleanliness and tidiness according to accepted standards;
- Instruct the staff on the precise utilization of the kitchen equipment, making sure they function properly;
- Train the restaurant service staff (together with the Food and Beverage Manager) in the fundamentals of the cook's specialty and the existing menus
- Be involved in bar management and the timely provision of necessary products.
Finance and Marketing (30%)
- Make sure that each lead cook manages his/ her section of the kitchen in correspondence with the allowed size of expenses;
- Control the proper balance of the kitchen expenditures with the calculation-technological cards;
- Make the annual forecast and budget planning of the kitchen, suggest ways to minimize expenses, and increase revenue;
- Support the F&B Manager to better understand the hotel guests’ and customers’ preferences as well as the local market trends;
- Assist the marketing team in developing a marketing plan aimed at increasing the restaurant's profitability.
Capacity Building and Innovation (20%)
- Continuously strive to develop professional skills and participate in any professional development opportunities initiated by COAF;
- Participate in the staff selection process;
- Conduct training for the kitchen staff, and instruct them on a regular basis to ensure their knowledge and skills are upgraded;
- Follow the international trends and innovations in the given field, be flexible and ready to react promptly, and apply them on-site.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Specifics of chef's speciality, as you have a higher education in the relevant field and 3 to 5 years of work experience as an Executive Chef;
- English language and professional terminology;
- Working with restaurant management software.
