ABOUT:
EU4Sevan+– Sustainable water management for resilient community development in Armenia aims at improving the wastewater treatment around Lake Sevan. This connects to the focus topic of this COP – Biodiversity Protection and Water Resources. Within EU4Sevan+, selected municipalities around Lake Sevan and in the connected river basins are enabled to implement sustainable water and wastewater services, protecting water resources, and enhancing climate resilience. The project also contributes to awareness raising among the population, mainly youth. This project is implemented by GIZ with funds from the German Government and the EU. The government partner for this project in Armenia is the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Environment, and subordinated bodies.
The “Sustainable Energy for climate resilient municipal development in Armenia” (SE4Resilience) project aims to increase the use of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Armenian municipalities to provide an affordable, reliable and environmentally friendly energy supply to social institutions, small and medium-sized business and vulnerable households. This advances climate-resilient and resource-efficient development in Armenia.
