Junior Data Scientist
Role description:
The Junior Data Scientist collaborates with business stakeholders to turn banking data into actionable insights that support banking analytics and modeling. The role combines data preparation, exploratory analysis, applied machine learning and clear communication through dashboards and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

What will you be doing?

- perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies and business insights;
- build and maintain analytical datasets by extracting, cleaning, joining and transforming data;
- develop customer segmentation solutions using clustering techniques and feature engineering;
- support model validation and monitoring by calculating performance metrics, checking stability and documenting results;
- create clear reports and interactive dashboards to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders;
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical analytics deliverables;
- ensure data quality through validation checks and reproducible workflows;
- contribute to code quality and maintainability through documentation, version control and best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

What skills are we looking for?
- university degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field;
- strong programming skills in Python and ability to work with analytical and ML/DL libraries;
- strong SQL skills to deal with data;
- solid understanding of statistics, probability and basic machine learning concepts
- ability to communicate insights clearly through dashboards, visuals and structured written summaries;
- strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and willingness to learn;
- experience with Streamlit and Plotly is a plus;
- familiarity with large datasets and performance optimization is an advantage;
- basic Git workflow knowledge is a plus.
